Out of high school, I had NO IDEA what to do so I just worked. Two jobs. Pulling 70-80 hours a week and I quickly got burnt out. I took a few months off to visit my family who lived overseas and when I came back I thought I should go to school. I have always been both creative + analytical so interior design was suggested since it utilizes both aspects. I graduated top of my class but I never truly fell in love with it.
So yeah, I can be a coffee snob. But since leaving those amazing aromas behind (and let's be honest - the discounts), I mostly drink black coffee out of a boring old drip coffee pot. I definitely miss the buzz of cafe life (pun intended) and being behind the bar pouring pretty lattè art. I do NOT miss the closing shifts because nowadays, I'm asleep by 9pm. Yes, I know. I'm lame.
One of the my favorite things to do is travel and I am so grateful for all the opportunities I've had to do so. My family actually lived overseas in several different countries and my love of adventure was sparked at a young age. I did most of my traveling in my teens and twenties and cannot wait until my next chance to hop on a plane. 🛩
